Is the Panasonic Lumix G1 a durable camera?
Since it’s only been on the market a couple of months, there isn’t really a lot of wear data available yet. It is not a tank-like pro camera by any means, but if you take reasonable precautions, it should last you a long time. Even the plastic, low end cameras are sturdier than they appear. Not to say you want to drop it onto a concrete surface on a regular basis, but a slight bump every now and then isn’t going to hurt it.
