Is the Palestinian Authority sacrificing its children in the latest round of the Intifada?
According to Justus Reid Weiner, an international human-rights lawyer who spoke at BU on April 2, the PA is using children as shields to protect its gunmen during riots and attacks, and the practice can be seen in television coverage of the riots. Palestinian children are indoctrinated by PA-controlled media, school curricula, and summer camps, all of which encourage armed confrontations and a hatred of Israelis, says Weiner, an adjunct lecturer at Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University.
