No, technically, you do not need to be a licensed driver to legally own a vehicle in Nevada. However, you cannot drive your vehicle unless you have a driver’s license. According to the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, the requirements to register a vehicle in the state include a Nevada Evidence of Insurance Card, Nevada Emission Vehicle Inspection Report and VIN inspection as well as some other documents.
