Is the ore deposit of a Gold Sands completely uniform and homogeneous?
No. Gold concentrations may be higher at some spots than others (and usually highest at the greatest depth). And the river’s meandering and channel-shifting actions tend to build up broad, thin, “pancakes” where the gold concentration is especially high. But compared with hard-rock vein deposits, concentration variability is low.
