Is the OpenADR Alliance creating new DR standards?

The OpenADR Alliance will support the use of existing standards from organizations such as OASIS, NAESB, SGIP and UCA. The main new activity of the OpenADR Alliance is in the area of OpenADR compliance (certification and testing), not standards development. The Alliance will be only supporting the ongoing activity of OASIS Energy Interoperation Technical Commitee, where OpenADR is being standardized. The OASIS committee is the responsible for creating the OpenADR profiles. The OpenADR Alliance is also working to define the OpenADR 2.0 profiles, which will be used by the Alliance for the compliance once they’re released. The OASIS process is open and anyone can submit comments.
