Is the only reason why anti gay predudice is so prevalent, because many people repress homosexual feelings?
Yes, a lot of people are homophobic because they are secretly gay and struggling to come to terms with themselves. I know I was like that. They feel that if they act against gay people, people would never suspect them of being gay and they would convince themselves that they aren’t gay. I can see no other reason why people would be against gays. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and people who are gay had no choice in that. It is how they were born; so the only reason you could be against gays is to convince yourself that that is false and become homophobic. The only other reason someone can be homophobic is through their bigoted religion, which is ridiculous. Those views have to change of churches, before everyone leaves them realizing how stupid some of their views are. But to answer your question, yes a lot of homophobia comes from people’s own struggle within themselves of coming to terms with being gay. How else could someone be so cruel?
