Is the number of booksellers listing with ABE growing or declining?
CONNORS: The number of sellers continues to grow, but it does fluctuate seasonally, and it fluctuates country by country and by different segments. We have been very stable in our core group of booksellers, which is the out-of-print, antiquarian and rare group. We do probably have a little bit higher rate of turnover in the new category. Some people it doesn’t necessarily work for, but for a lot of people it does work very well. So we do continue to grow, just not at great leaps and bounds. I can say we get hundreds of applications to join each month. We try to maintain professional standards – that is something that we take very seriously. When a person applies at our site, we don’t just flick a switch and you’re on. New applicants have to go through a vetting and screening process, which means we do a very in-depth and thorough security check on them.
