Is the Nuhati-Am-Nutjeru Faith Tradition a revival or reconstruction of the Ancient Egyptian Religion?
The Nuhati-Am-Nutjeru Faith Tradition is not a revival or reconstruction of the Native Egyptian Religion exactly as it was practiced during the time of the Ancestors. Although there are those Temples, Houses or groups who believe that reviving or “reconstructing” the Faith exactly as it was- millenniums ago- is the only authentic way to live the Tradition, our Lineage views that path as non-progressive, and has been founded on principles that coincide with how the World and humanity have developed since ancient times. The Native Religion of Egypt was not a cohesive spiritual system; it was a complex marriage of many theological ideas and devotional practices, all stemming from many branches of thought concerning the origins of Creation and the purpose of serving the Divinities.
