Is the new Relief Contrast objectives and condenser compatible with my existing IX70/50?
Yes. Typically, Relief Contrast observation requires the raising and subsequent defocusing of the condenser. With the IX70 illumination columns, condenser movement may be limited, therefore we recommend the IX2 lllumination pillar. Q: I am having trouble obtaining a good DIC image on my IX. There is a strip pattern across the image that cannot be alieviated. A: Check the orientation of your nosepiece DIC prism slider. This slider needs to be in an upside down orientation on your inverted microscope.
