Is the new OMNIPAT camouflage from Special Ops Paintball better than Multicam from Crye Precision?
MultiCam made by Crye Precision is an excellent camo but it was developed for real world uses. OmniPat camo made by Special Ops Paintball was developed specifically for use in paintball. For that reason, an emphasis was placed on making it effective at extremely close ranges. The pattern and color scheme of OmniPat is specifically designed to fool the human eye and in testing, OmniPat remained unseen to observers for an additional 10-20 feet after MultiCam was seen. In real world terms this is pretty much inconsequential…but for use in paintball it’s a huge difference.
