Is the new 2007 Lincoln MKZ getting uglier?
My wife owns a 2006 Lincoln Zeyphr, and she saw a new one, the MKZ, or something at a Lincoln Dealership when we were coming home from Kroger. So, she made me pull my Navigator into the dealership (Yes, we’re Ford People, own 1 GMC). What an ugly hunk of plastic. They took a great car and completly butchered it. It’s shortened about 6 inches, which elimintaes some cargo carrying room, and passenger leg room, which wasn’t very plentiful on the Zeyphr to begin with, installed some primative, cheap navigation system that doesn’t do crap, (and I should know primative navigation systems, I have an Envoy), took out the beautiful wood trim and replaced it with brushed aluminum that looks like it was ripped off a Maytag fridge. We took it for a test drive. It had a stiff, choppy ride, while my wife’s Zeyphr rides like a dream. Also, the quote-on-quote navigation system had the simplest commands hidden underneath 10-12 layers of menus. Me and my wife left in disgust. PS: I think it’s the MKZ…
