Is the NBA hurting high school basketball?
I think not, rather a relationship to the game. After all, many high school players think of the NBA as a big income, not an achievement in the sport. In my opinion, the NBA game has ruined basketball. I’d rather watch Classic Sports when I’m watching teams from the 1960s and 1970s like the great Celtics teams. I don’t like the NBA game, and I think it’s filtered down to college and now high school. In NBA games, there’s isolation plays for the best players like LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. They make money for so many different people, you have to feature them. Nowadays, it’s a 1-on-1 game. The league created that. Describe that 2007 E.C. Central squad and what made it so special in your eyes. I fell into a really, really great situation where I had good kids who listened to me. I had some really good players like E’Twaun Moore and Kawann Short and then, all of a sudden, Angel Garcia pops up on campus. I was just at the right place at the right time. I was lucky.
