Is the Nazarene/Jesus considered a Mystic?
Yes I believe Jesus was a mystic. He said, “What I do you can do also.” And I believe that we are becoming more and more aware that that is true. We are capable of so much more than we realise. I do not believe Jesus was God but I do believe he had ’God’ in him, just as we all do. But more and more people are having a problem with calling it God. And I am one of them. Compare God To A Giant Potato ~ The title sounds funny and sacrilegious but imagine this. 2000 years ago the Roman and Greek empires had as the supreme being in their religious pantheon, Zeus, today the Zeus and all the other Gods of this long gone religion are called ‘myths’ and though it is hard to see for most Christians, in about 2000 years the ‘Christian’ view of God will most likely have died out and become a ‘myth’ to the people of the earth.
