Is the narrator in “the fall of the house of usher” a static character or dynamic character?

Well the answer is easier when you understand the question. A static narrator would just explain settings and people, not necessarily adding to the story, but setting up information so you can acclimate yourself to whats going on before the characters take over. With a static narrator the character’s dialog moves the story. A dynamic narrator actually moves the story along and explains not only setting but the emotions of the characters so you know whats going on in everyone’s head. Dynamic narrators generally tell most of the story with little information actually coming from the characters. Most of Poe’s famous works (the raven, the pit and the pendulum) consist of dynamic narration.
