The mushroom compost is a very good fertilizer that’s mild enough for ‘right away’ planting. As long as you mix it into soil, or top dress away from the trunk of any plant, you should be fine using this product.back I WANT TO MIX SAND INTO MY SOIL, WHICH KIND SHOULD I USE? Generally, we recommend that you DON’T put sand in your soil. Being as our native soil is clay-ish in nature, mixing sand into it could cause it to compact even more versus aerating the soil.
