Is the MultiClear a broad band or a narrow band device?
The MultiClear has an emission spectrum which is optimized to the activation spectrum. It is a very narrow band system optimized to match the UVAI pigmentation peak of melanin precursors (in the treatment of stretch marks) ; it has a very sharp 296 nm lower cut off in the UVB to avoid unnecessary erythema. On the other hand it provides as much as possible effective UVB and UVA radiation for optimized activation of melanocytes and optimized anti inflammatory action in the treatment of Vitiligo. The system also emits at the specific maximal efficacy 304 nm peak in the treatment of psoriasis.
