Is the movie “A Clockwork Orange” as horrifying as the book?

In general the movie is very faithful, though quite stylish. However, there’s no pedophilia in the movie. There are rape scenes and many other violent scenes, but no real gore. And the ending is a tad different. It’s a superb film, though it can be disturbing for those who are unprepared. But I can’t recommend it more highly. I actually consider it the best science fiction movie ever made, though it’s not typical of what most people would consider science fiction. Rent it, it will be worth your while, especially if you enjoyed the book.
