Is the mitsubishi eclipse 2009 and 2008 a good car also maybe GT?
The new Eclipse is far from the Eclipse of old. The turbocharged engine is long gone and the responsiveness that’s associated with the car is just a memory. The new Eclipse (08 and 09 models) is a heavy front drive car that is based on the Galant (a lack luster performer as well). There are better V6 sedans out there. The steering is not very communicative. The car is sporty looking but not very agile. The turning circle is horrendous. It’s like driving a car that’s bigger than what it really is. The ride is stiff and choppy and there is a lot of wind noise at highway speeds. The exhaust note in the V6 is very melodious to some people but it becomes annoying in long drives because it’s always there. Where the Eclipse shines is its acceleration. With 265 hp in tow, the car can be propelled from 0-60 in about 6.79 sec. Quarter mile run is around 14.9 @ 95 mph. Some more gripes include the placement of the side view mirrors.
