Is the Minerva IUD a good birthcontrol?

0

I have never heard of the Minerva, but I had the Mirena IUD. I do not recommend it. I got it back in 2004 after the birth of my daughter. 4 months later, I found out I was pregnant with a tubal pregnancy. The IUD perforated my uterus, ended up in my stomach cavity, and caused me to start bleeding internally. I had to have my stomach cut open if 4 places. I had to have a D&C done, I had to have the baby and part of my tubes cut out, I had to have the rip closed in my uterus, and then have the IUD removed. I had one miscarriage in 2006 after the removal. I cannot say that it was because of the IUD though. I just gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago, with no prenatal complications. I would seriously do some research on it…talk to your doctor, get their recommendation. Not everyone experiences these things. I know several people that have never had any problems with their IUD.
