Yes. It is a very traditional line of Gao right from Tienjin and Beijing in China. Laoshi grew up in Beijing and learned there from Bi Tianzou. Mr. Bi learned from his father Bi Motang and from Wu Mengxia. Laoshi got the complete transmission of Gao style bagua, with all the details and information that entails. The quality of the information is very high. There is no admixture from other arts, though Laoshi also knows Taiji. Mr. Bi was Laoshi’s first and primary teacher and he has Mr. Bi’s blessing to try and pass on the art this way. Only time will tell if the experiment is successful. Other people have tried this method and some have been very pleased with what they learned. You are welcome to ask to join and try for yourself.
