Is the Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412 Half Stack a good amp for playing Avenged Sevenfold songs?
Usually, to get a good quality “American” sound to your guitar, you can’t go wrong with Marshall. Avenged Sevenfold has made changes to their sound since their earlier days, so you’re not going to get a perfect imitation of the full scope of their work just using the factory Marshall settings. If you’re just playing covers for live shows, any bozo with a half stack can sound like any “hard-rock” group from today dating back to the 70s. Although, if you are recording these songs, and would like to make a perfect replication, my suggestion is that you dive into the CD sleeves and scope out what kind of gear they use.
