Absolutely. The Mail Connector opens encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections through the customers firewall on to communicate with the BlackBerry® infrastructure. An additional 128-bit key is used to validate both ends of the communication channel ensuring that the customer’s data is encrypted as it is passed from the mail server to the BlackBerry® Infrastructure.
