Is the magazine latch on my Ruger. 45 Auto pistol ambidextrous?
The magazine latches for the Ruger P90, P97 and P345 pistols can only be operated from the left side by pushing inward; they are not ambidextrous. As indicated in the instruction manual’s parts listing, there is only a right magazine latch available for these pistols. The magazine release operation of these firearms closely parallels that of the Model 1911 and Ruger 22/45 Rimfire pistols. For an instruction manual, click here.
