Is the LTF affiliated with a specific medical center?
The LTF is not formally affiliated with any transplant center. The organization was started by lung transplant recipients treated at Duke University Hospital and is initially concentrating on Duke Research projects. As we grow, however, we want to support the best possible research in the field of lung transplantation at multiple centers in the U.S. One of our major goals is to encourage collaborative research among centers to accelerate the rate of discovery.
