Is The Light Knight legal?
Absolutely! In all 50 states. It does nothing to effect the normal operation of a traffic control device. All The Light Knight does is allow your motorcycle to be recognized by the buried sensors, allowing the traffic light to give you your turn when it’s time. The Illinois Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/12-601.1 reads, in part: (e) This Section does not prohibit use by motorcycles of electronic or magnetic safety devices designed to allow traffic control signal systems to recognize or detect motorcycles.
