Is the Jack Russell Terrier good with children?
The Jack Russell is great with children, IF your children are kind, respectful and well supervised. We have placed puppies with families with sweet, kind two-and three-year-olds, and refused families with insensitive, undisciplined 10-year-olds. We have neighborhood families and children of all ages help us in playing and socializing the young puppies. All our puppies are born and raised in the house, socialized with adults and children, teenagers and telephones. They even spend time visiting schools. Our puppies have been in classes from kindergarten to HS Science. Once you have one, you’re hooked on the laughter and happiness they create in your home. They are very good with children. However, all children need to be supervised just as all puppies need to be supervised. Puppies playing with children must be supervised.
