This new idea comes from the systematic application of the rules of Portuguese law and is based on the Citizen’s Card Act. Under this Act, the CC qualified electronic signature applies to Portuguese citizens, as well as to Brazilian citizens under the Tratado de Porto Seguro (Porto Seguro Treaty).
