Yes it is a UN made conflict. After world war II the U.N. more specifically the U.S. and the U.K. decided to create the state of Israel in the middle east to compensate for their losses during the holocaust. The Arab nations did not agree, but they did it anyway. So the Palestinians were forced to move so that the Jews could move into their neighborhood. Not a good idea by the U.N. It is what it is.
