Is the Iranian president of Jewish ancestry?
I checked into this myth a while back. All the so called evidence is false. His name means something in Persian, but not in Hebrew, contrary to the myth. His family history is documented & has no relationship to the Jewish community. I can dig up the stuff, but I don’t remember where I found it (either snopes or virtualjewishlibrary or some place like that.) On your 2nd question, it’s just the opposite. The Sunnis, or more specifically a variety of Arab countries are very upset about Iran trying to get nuclear weapons. It would completely upset balance of power in the region & while they don’t expect to be attacked, it would give Iranian gv’t leverage to blackmail for concessions. Yemen is particularly stuck in the middle of this conflict & very worried about it – but Saudi Arabia also has big concerns, considering they’re sharing borders.
