Is the ink of shredded newspaper poisonous to a rabbits health?
It would be a good idea to call the newpaper company that you are going to use. Most ink in newspaper is soy based these days, so it is harmless. I would suggest putting a litter box in the cage as well with bedding. I don’t know about other rabbits, but mine urinates a lot(she drinks about 16-32oz of water a day. Newspaper is not going to absorb the urine well and you are going to end up with a very smelly cage. With newspaper, don’t be surprised if you are cleaning it out at least once if not twice per day.
