Is the information in the Bible relevant to todays classroom as a textbook on every subject?
The question is ludicrous. The Bible is not a textbook on ANY subject. The Bible is THEOLOGY. Most of the Bible was inscribed onto tanned animal skins (“parchment”) by the shamans (“priests”) of nomadic tribesmen in the Bronze Age, between about 925 BCE and about 550 BCE. Parts of the Bible can be traced back to the Stone Age. When the Christian Testament was inscribed onto dried mashed river reeds (“papyrus”), in the Iron Age (the CT was written 55 CE to 300 CE), the highest level of technology was the war chariot. A baby had only one chance in three of living to age 16. The average man was dead by age 40, and the average woman was dead by age 30, because of the dangers of childbirth. The most grinding poverty in today’s world would have been regarded as luxury by most people in Jesus’s time.
