Is the indicted democrat governor of illinois actually crooked by chicago political standards?
Probably not, corruption in Chicago, goes back to the days when Al Capone, and the mafia ran the city. It is no different today, just different criminals. Some criminals donate to campaigns through shell or otherwise clean businesses so that when the election commission looks at the money and where it came from. It all looks legitimate on paper, and the candidate looks like he is taking honest money. However, today with the computer age, and with the advanced technology that we have, it is becoming harder and harder to hide the source of these contributions. I’m not saying that every dollar that is contributed is dirty, there are some clean politicians who refuse to take campaign contributions from people or organizations that they do not know. And some political candidates don’t find out about it until it is too late. The current scandal with the Governor of Illinois over s Senate seat is just one in a long line of scandals that have been a part of politics in Chicago.
