Is the Indian team looking forward to the tri-nation tournament in Amsterdam?
It will be a good experience. The other two teams participating are Australia and Pakistan who are top contenders in the Champions Trophy in England next month. So it will be of great help for us to prepare for the Champions Trophy as well as the NatWest series in England. How do you rate India’s chances in the Champions Trophy? We have reached the final on the last two occasions. So we are all geared up and the team will give 100% and hopefully go one better this time. India have got to a number of finals over the last couple of years but seem to have some sort of jinx when it comes to winning [India have lost 11 out of 14 one-day finals involving three teams or more under captain Sourav Ganguly]. This happened last month too in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Why has this been happening so often? It could be a lack of confidence.
