Is the Homeowners Association required to give the Contractor a space for their site office, material storage and parking?
The owners are required to provide a space for the site office of the Contractor during the construction period. Otherwise, the contractor’s forces would spend too much time going to and from an offsite location, driving the cost of the project up. For this project, the contractor will place its jobsite office in the visitor parking across the street from buildings 39-42. The contractor may place one or more “Connex” storage containers in the same location. Additionally, due to the volume of material that we expect to remove from the buildings, a “demo trailer” will be moved near the building where the contractor is removing the siding. The trailer will be placed in the nearest practicable visitor parking spot. Other equipment, such as forklifts, may need to be parked in visitors spots. Equipment and vehicles will only block garages or driveways temporarily and will be moved immediately for Owner access.
