Is the home water pressure not high enough for proper filling?
Home water pressure should be 20-120 psi. To determine if you have adequate water pressure: Fully open the faucet nearest the dishwasher. Place a 1-quart container under the faucet. If the container takes longer than 9 seconds to fill, the water pressure is low and a booster pump may be needed. Contact a plumber for booster pump information. Is the water temperature too low? Have a qualified person raise the water heater thermostat setting. For best results, water should be 120oF as it enters the dishwasher. To check the water temperature: • Run hot water at the faucet closest to your dishwasher for at least 1 minute. • Place a candy or meat thermometer in a glass measuring cup. • Check the temperature on the thermometer as the water is running into the cup.
