Is the home Scoutmaster involved?
Absolutely! Brownsea-NYLT is designed to enhance the Scouts relationship with his home Scoutmaster. The home Scoutmaster coordinates and encourages the Scout’s completion of his Phase 2 challenges. The home Scoutmaster works with the scout upon his return to identify 4 areas where the Scout can apply his Brownsea-NYLT skills. See Bringing Brownsea-NYLT Home on the Home Page. Upon completion, the Scoutmaster e-mails info@Brownsea-NYLT.org, stating that the Scout has completed the goals that the Scoutmaster and Scout had agreed upon.
Absolutely! NYLT is designed to enhance the Scouts relationship with his home Scoutmaster. The home Scoutmaster coordinates and encourages the Scout’s completion of his NYLT ‘ticket’ a set of goals and plans the Scout develops during the training week. The Scoutmaster and Scout may also change the challenges as needed to meet the troop’s needs. Upon a Scouts completion of his ‘ticket’, the Scoutmaster e-mails info@nfcnylt.org, stating that the Scout has completed the goals that the Scoutmaster and Scout had agreed upon. Supplies allowing, the Scout will be presented with a limited edition NYLT ticket neckerchief the troops next Court of Honor.
