Is the Holy spirit and God the same person?
The one Being who is God is comprised of three persons who retain distinct identities and characteristics; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. None of them were ever created. They have always existed, together, in an inter-active union. That is orthodox Christian teaching. On here you will get people who have not sorted out the difference between a Being and a Person (in the Godhead). They think the three persons are the same person. The Bible clearly speaks of the three as doing different things at different times, in different places, yet also doing the same thing at the same time in the same place. That’s why people get confused. You also get on here people who deny the personality of the Holy Spirit, speaking of ‘it’. Such people (if pressed) will admit that they do not have the anointing of ‘holy spirit’. That is very telling.
