Is the Harbour Master Hotel in Aberaeron in Wales any good for food?
I ate there in 2009 and found it to be pretty good, you can have look at their menus on www.harbour-master.com, it’s a bit formal and can be a little intimidating as they have a very high opinion of themselves, but well worth a visit. They usually need a few more Customers so their deals are worth looking at, and no matter what deal they offer you can sometimes haggle a bit with them, get free wine or something sometimes even a further reduction in rates, especially if you tell them what you can offer. But be careful which room they put you in, if you are going to stay there, some are a lot better than others.
