Is the Habitrail Ovo Loft and Habitrail Adventure Pack enough room for a syrian hamster?
It’s big enough for now. This is a good initial cage set up, but you might want to add on to it later. I have the OVO cage and you can purchase add-ons here and there to keep things interesting for your hamster. Just make sure to play with your hamster and take it out often and this should be fine for a while. Just a warning, though – pretty much any hamster cage you will get is a little difficult to clean. I haven’t used the loft part of the OVO system, but I know that to clean the other parts well you have to take the whole cage apart and then put it back together again. Still, I think that this is a good move on your part because this cage set up will be more entertaining for your hamster.
I just bought my new habitrail ovo loft with a adventure pack and my Syrian long haired teddy bear hamster loves it! It was bigger than what I thought it would be and how it appeared in the pictures!I enjoyed the silent wheel. At first he wasn’t used to the stairs that leads to the food but after a while he figured it out. The cage is 27 inches long in case you want to see how long it is in person but if you decide to buy it I would recommend taking out the chewable cardboard maze because it takes up too much room. The cheapest I found it for was on eBay and brand new for $67 including shipping. I recommend this cage because it is larger than all the ones you see in the petstores.
