Is the greenhouse effect the cause of global warming?

0

The greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming it is a contributor (and could be argued the main contributor). Solar output also has an affect on the earth’s climate and variation in this can cause heating/cooling events. The green house effect exists and global warming exists but that doesn’t mean that the green house effect is the only cause of global warming.
