Is the Good Life Recipe dog food bad?
Good Life Recipe is not on the recall list: http://www.howl911.com/petfoodrecall.htm but it’s not good food. It’s very low quality. I saw an ad for it the other day and sought it out of curiosity. I laughed when I read the ingredients! Talk about false advertising! No wonder they don’t list the actual ingredients on the website. The first few ingredients to this “wonderful” food are (in this order): ground corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, beef, whole grain brown rice, and animal fat. Compare that to Timberwolf: Lamb, Salmon Meal, Lamb Meal, Salmon, Whole Ground Oats, Whole Ground Barley. See the difference? Usually anything you buy at a grocery store, walmart, or sometimes even petsmart or petco is fairly poor quality. Stay away from anything that has too much filler – like corn.
