Is the Ghost Dance a cultural expression or a threat to the United States white society?

I think that the ghost dance is a cultural experience because it relieves the Indians of the pains that they feel which are caused by the white settlers. It makes them feel like they are invincible because of their scared ghost dance garments, which were bullet proof (Takaki 228). They use the dance as a method to use their spirituality to fight against the white people. Wovoka told the different Indian tribes that they must dance, everywhere, keep on dancing so that it would wipe out the whites and bring back all of their game (Takaki 228). The Ghost dance could also be thought of as a threat to the United States because of the reason that they are dancing. When Wovoka told the tribes to dance, his reason was so that God would send a flood that would drown the white people. I think that this is a good reason to be afraid, but I honestly do not think that it could ever have happened.
