Chocolate is sweetened with cane sugar, may have milk if it is milk chocolate, some have nuts or traces of them, but I have never come across any with animal products in them, darker chocolate has less sugar, and bitter has none, Merci is a brand sold all over the world, I have had it here in Canada.
