Is the geographic north pole of planet earth a magnetic north or a magnetic south pole?
Neither. Geographic north pole and magnetic north pole are entirely different things. The geographic north pole is defined as the point in the northern hemisphere where the Earth’s axis of rotation meets the Earth’s surface and has nothing to do with magnetism. The magnetic north pole is the wandering point on the Earth’s surface at which the Earth’s magnetic field points vertically downwards. The two do not coincide.
