Oh I am dieing to know that too, I’m taking French and Spanish! But French is my second language so I’m doing it earlier but the exact same course. I’m so SCARED!

Hi, It depends on what you mean by “difficult”. Do you get good marks in your other subjects? Are you willing to study hard? It’s not “difficult” in that 25% is coursework (I think), so it can “cushion” you against a bad mark in the exam. The main areas are: Listening – you can’t really revise for this one. A tape is played and you have to answer questions that you’re given in English or French (it’ll tell you which one 🙂 !). Just learn the vocab and you’ll be fine. Reading – similar to your basic test. Answer the questions on a given passage in French of English. Writing – you have to prepare a piece of writing on a given topic before the exam, memorise it, and write down as much of it as you can in the exam. I’ve been told you get about an hour for it (I’m only in Year 10 going into Year 11, so this hasn’t been formally explained to us yet). Speaking – there’s a kinda “role play” scenario where the teacher will ask you questions on one of about five topics selected at random. You k
