Is the game primarily action or adventure?
Fin: Although there’s adventure in there, Blade II is a lot of action. Taking our cue from both of the films, we have successfully recreated all of the elements that people will associate with the films. We’ve managed to incorporate the unique styling and the films’ fast-paced action while still maintaining solid playability. IGN: What are some of the cool things you can do as Blade? Fin: Several unique features have found their way into the game but the thing that stands out is the 360¿ combat system. Using dual analog sticks we give the player complete freedom to move and fight in any direction at anytime. We have noticed that some games lock the player onto one character until the fight is over but we found this to be drab. Therefore, we went for the 360¿ combat in order to keep in line with the film and to give the player as much control as possible. Other cool features are specially choreographed finish moves and glaive combat – there’s nothing more enjoyable than taking a vampire
