GLC sales for fiscal year 2008 climbed to a record-breaking $3.6 billion and proceeds to education reached $872 million – both exceeding the amounts generated during fiscal year 2008. The students of Georgia receive a portion of every Georgia Lottery ticket sold and remain the biggest winners in our history! Since the inception of the Lottery in 1993, more than 1.1 million students have had the opportunity to attend colleges and technical colleges through Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program and more than 940,000 four-year-olds have had a chance to get a jump start on their education by attending a high quality Pre-kindergarten program.
