Is the funding for the construction of US 64 related to the funding for NC 540?
NC 540 (Western Wake Parkway) is proposed to be under construction beginning in the summer of 2009, subject to the current economic situation. Tolls will be used to repay the bonds used for the construction of NC 540. Currently, the proposed improvements in the short-term plan and the 30-year long-term plan are not funded. Funding for any improvements along US 64 will be prioritized based on other improvements needed in the area.
