Is the fishing suitable for very old or very young anglers?
The fishing available at Long Sault is immense with something for everyone. We can direct you to manicured lawns beside the car or isolated wilderness type swims that need to be cut out before fishing. As long as there are a few key features (which we can explain to you) and you feed it up, you will find carp. The fishing is not demanding from a technical point, I could show any novice how to catch a 20 in 15 minutes, they may then loose a few but would still “catch their dreams” Of course the better Anglers catch more and bigger fish, every year my business partner always catches a few more 30`s and a lot more fish than me, BUT I HAVE HAD THE BIGGEST. This proves it is not all skill. The only point for kids is the physical strength to play the fish; these fish pull very hard, so the kid needs to be at least 8 or so to handle a 20…… They will hook 20`s virtually every day, so if they are using my rods make sure the buggers hang on!!! BRING THE KIDS……… A 10 YEAR OLD WITH A 20
