The flats in Alloway, Taymills and Courthouse are either all male or all female and generally for students between the ages of 16-19. There are security entry systems on the external doors and each person has an individual key for their room. The flats in the other University residences, for Second/Third/Fourth year students and First Year students twenty years or over are mixed sex.
